Empty

Words splashed on paper
as prolific as Picasso:
vivid vermillion verbs
literally dance off your pen.
What colourful concoctions
your masterful imagination has
put into prose and pretty verses:
a collage of contradictions.
The adjectives fly with ease
by the press of your fingers
on the willing keys.
As empty as your promises.
Meaningless and mean.
Your legacy of shame
is to leave this place
Worse, by far, than when you came.
